Former Chicago Wind Player Stefan Antonijevic Signs With Lillestrom

STEFAN ANTONIJEVIC SIGNED TWO-YEAR CONTRACT

The American central defender Stefan Antonijevic (28) is Lillestrom player the next two years 

Stefan Antonijevic joined LSK from the American team Tampa Bay Rowdies, where he has played the last two years. Before Tampa Bay, he was in Florida rival Fort Lauderdale.

Stefan was born in the USA and has both American and Serbian passports. He rises 198 cm above the ground.
“I am grateful to have the opportunity to play here in Lillestrom, and look forward to the season,” said the central defender, who describes himself as a humble team player with good humor.
“With Stefan we get a head strong defensive player who also has momentum,” said torgeir bjarmann.

Boys U-14 Capture Region II President’s Cup Title

After winning the Illinois Presidents Cup in May, the CFJN U14 Boys Pre-Academy team (with 3 guest players from the U13 Red team) went to the Regional Presidents Cup as the Illinois representative and after wins over Missouri, Ohio North, Ohio South club teams in group play and then an Indiana club team in the U-14 Finals, went unbeaten scoring 10 goals in total (the most of all representing teams) and allowing 0 goals (the least of all teams) to win the Regional Presidents Cup and will now be representing Region II (Midwest region) at the National Presidents Cup in mid-July in Tulsa, OK.


Match highlights for championship game: 
Chicago Fire Juniors North’s (IL) Rich Park posted an early goal in the eighth minute against HFC 01/02 Elite Wolves (IN). Chicago Fire Juniors North held off HFC for the remainder of the game, earning a 1U14 Pres Cup - Region II Champs 2016-0 win in the championship game.

Same Club, Different Names

2016-2017 Tryouts

There will be some changes for the 2016-2017 soccer season. This club will now partner with the Chicago Fire Soccer Club but will no longer be an affiliate of the club. We will enjoy the same great Fire programs as before, just without the Fire name.

The Club will function as one while sporting two different names.

For the younger boys (U8-U11) and the entire girls program (U8-U18), they will play as the Pegasus Soccer Club. Pegasus is a very successful program, which has been around for over 30 years, and is based in Deerfield.

The older boys (U12-U18) will play as the Chicago Wind, which has also been a very successful program for over 20 years.
